Asif Ali Zardari, the President of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan yesterday (Thursday) in a telephone conversation with the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran Seyyed Ibrahim Raisi, assured that Pakistan will continue to cooperate closely with Iran in all areas of mutual interest.
Asif Ali Zardari, while congratulating the Islamic President of Iran on the arrival of Eid al-Fitr, also emphasized the need to increase the exchange of information to overcome the security challenges of the two countries.
Meanwhile, Zardari expressed his condolences and sincere sympathy to the Iranian statesmen and bereaved families who lost their loved ones in the attack of the Israeli regime on the consular section of the Iranian embassy in Damascus.
The president of Pakistan also expressed concern about the humanitarian crisis and the genocide of Palestinians by the Israeli occupying forces and emphasized the need for an immediate ceasefire in the Gaza Strip.
