Bhai, this thing has somehow stuck with me since childhood. A childhood spent visiting them every single summer vacation wherever they'd be posted.. we were wee ones, me and the cousins.. but around the grown up dinner table when it came to Pak.. our guys were clear ki kaun real power wield karda, and how it was all a ruse, a facade, an eye wash, an illusion, a trick.. ki there's democracy there.

This whole "populist leader" thing don't work in a faujocracy.

Sugar, textiles, agri, mining.. har jageh fauj incorporated is only ruling :D

Idhar is almost same, only old skool oligarchy style chalta hai injun lol

but we keep it working.

Pak, but, whole other next level... pta nahi kya hoga aapka :P

Pakistan, you just shake your head, say "what a country!" and move on. :D

A viral video of men serving tea on an aeroplane sparks mixed reactions online.

In a bizarre incident that has sparked debate online, a video surfaced on Instagram showing two men casually serving tea in disposable cups while walking down the aisle of an IndiGo airplane. Mimicking the service style seen on Indian trains, the men were seen pouring tea from a bottle, with one man serving a seated woman.

The video, which has since gone viral, garnered more than 400k views within just 24 hours of being shared. Social media users flooded the comments section with mixed reactions, ranging from humour to sharp criticism of the incident.

One user joked, “Soon there will be mung phali wala chaat masala,” comparing the scene to traditional vendors on Indian trains. Another, however, expressed disappointment, stating, “This is why foreigners are speaking bad about India… please behave.”

The criticisms didn’t end there, as a third comment highlighted concerns over security and professionalism onboard, sarcastically questioning, “Cabin crew, security wale konsa nasha karke baithe h (What are the cabin crew and security staff even doing)?”

Take a look at the video:

Airlines making headlines for the wrong reasons

This incident is the latest in a string of controversies involving airlines that have raised concerns about passenger safety, professionalism, and the standard of service. Recent months have seen instances ranging from unruly passenger behaviour to lapses in security protocols, prompting public and regulatory scrutiny.

In a previous incident involving the same airline, Trisha Shetty, founder of SheSays, accused IndiGo of being uncooperative. She claimed that the airline staff were unwilling to help her mother, who was allegedly "robbed" during a flight. In response to the post, the airline asked Shetty to share her contact details so they could "assist her at the earliest."

“Dear IndiGo my mom got robbed on your flight 6E 17. Flight crew kept her handbag in the overhead. When she fell asleep, a passenger took her bag. Luckily she woke up when he was replacing her bag. Your crew refused to help her file a complaint. They made excuses for thief,” Shetty wrote.

In another incident, actor Shamita Shetty made allegations against IndiGo Airlines, claiming that they offloaded her luggage due to weight limitations. Taking to X (formerly Twitter), Shamita posted a video from the airport stating that she was travelling from Jaipur to Chandigarh for an event.

In the video, Shamita said, "I am stuck at the Chandigarh airport. I have travelled from Jaipur to Chandigarh on an Indigo airline and my bags were just offloaded without informing me. I have come here for an event. My hairdresser's bag and my bag were just offloaded because of some weight issues. Am I not supposed to be informed before something like this is done?"

One of the nicer weird behaviours of Indian air travelers.

Going around serving everyone chai ? .. no harm, no foul.. good even (if a bit strange)

First I'm seeing something of the sort.

I've never been much a red meat guy either. Surprising to hear about Japan, aapka kobe is supposed to be pretty exotic and best in the world type.

Seafood zyada chalta hai in Japan iinw.

Your wife a proper veggie or only poultry and fish ?

but this news bit surprised me, BJP to the rescue lol, this happened few years ago too.. I was greatly amused then too... at the time there was no cow vigilantism but, just a general shortage, and they (BJP) had again made arrangements to get from Kerala or from the north east. Its always been very ubiquitous here, maybe because of a large Chisty population and as a tourism hub.

India hai, but.. nothing should surprise anyone.

Poultry/ Chickunn/ fukkin Duck/ Suar/ Beef......these are all hillbilly or Chinese introductions from not more than a century ago.

Al-Turkiyan guppu mughal here trying to introduce Doner Kabab, but he puts fukkin zeera in it and its obnoxious to most Japanese.

Zameen ka jaanver here in Japan is taboo bhai.......Only seafood kosher!

Younger gen here far more open to cultural foods, but older Japanese wouldn't touch it with a 10' pole.

Red meat, like you mentioned that Kobe beef, older Japanese try it, but you know its very high animal fat all marbled. Its just fukkin heart attack on a platter.

Man, even humreeki kaalay getting smarter than our subcontinental jahils on food.

I've observed the hindu Brahmans on what they eat and its just quick stir fry vegetables or just simple boiled lentils and if you wanna get fancy, you add a teaspoon of asli ghee......No tarrka!

It's honestly a good idea.

And when you feeling guilty go eat at a good Pakistani or Irani/ Turkish restaurant once a month......

Yous gotta remember yous ain't 25 years old anymore.

Hmm, interesting info about their meat habits, or lackthereof.. sahi hai, learn something new every day.

The less oil, less masala is Sattvik food, no much spice, no meat, barely a hint of oil, no veggies that grow underground, onion and garlic are big no nos. Supposed to keep you mentally fit, not make you lazy and lusty etc.

Then there's Tamsik and Rajsik food, meat, ghee/oil, spices, all the onion in the world etc

Meat etc = tamsic

and who the hell put zeera in doner wtf, I like the desi Indian variety, grilled crispy bits of chicken and a coleslaw type salad, tahini, and pickled green chilli/carrot/beetroot. Middle east folk do it right, and light.. at least the lebanese, syrian, israeli style of cooking, lotsa salad, no much oil.. suits their climate too. WHo the hell wants tel and mirchi when you getting cooked in the desert 24/7 365 anyway.
