We got told in 1977 to get involved in Afghanistan or else!

Brzezinski met with Zia ul Huq and they hanged Bhutto on Kissinger's instructions who opposed going into Afghanistan.

Rest is history bhai.......

Yaar, aapki army bhi aaram pasand, they used to their many perks, and stature status etc in society.

Itni zabardast fall from grace must be hard to handle, and loss of control over running of mulk prolly hurts worse. A most unenviable situation your wardi walas find themselves in.

but how they got so damn powerful is also something to dwell upon, ki democracy aapki chali nahi kabhi.

I'm not super well read on it but general story goes that Charlie Wilson and some others put the fear of godlessness into Pak extablishmen.. the big red scare.

They went in to save the deen miskeen :P

Things didn't go according to plan, somehow.. lol
