Masha'Allah great news!

I have read that PIA and Fly Jinnah have both applied for slots in Dhaka Airport, which they will of course get. Fly Jinnah's (LCC Carrier) page already reflects Dhaka as a future destination.

A warm welcome to All Pakistani brothers and sisters to Dhaka.

Indians are of course negative about these direct Karachi-Dhaka and Islamabad-Dhaka (future) flights, they may go as far as deny overflight, which will break all ICAO rules.

El Al flies straight down the Persian gulf and then takes a left (right on map) avoiding Iranian and Pak airspace.. but then that is a special case.

Around here, post that skirmish couple years ago, I think both India and Pak had restricted each others' carriers overflight, not entirely sure how it is now.. I'm guessing some normalcy has returned ?

Fairly common practice, this, during times of conflict.

Bangladesh and Pakistan are not in conflict mode with India, as far as I know.

Flights from NE 7 sister states are routinely overflying Bangladesh to mainland India for free.

They are supposed to pay a fee, but they don't.

Will it fly over India or will it take any alternative route?
