At the other place I had a blackwater and mercs ka thread. Eric Prince's blackwater/academi got in some srs trouble in Iraq nissour square, was a big deal but everyone got away iirc.
I've read 2 books on them, contrasting narratives waali, ek by Prince himself 'civilian warriors'.. the other one by Jeremy Scahill 'rise of blackwater..' something, both worth a read for a balanced perspective.
Pentagon keeps them on a bit of a tight leash, all US SF guys, green berets, SEALs, sabse lowest are army Rangers, shock troops, but not SF level trained... not sure about other countries' troops, maybe some SAS/SBS etc guys too.
