Educated people from the Indian Subcontinent do learn (and appreciate) poetry, some are aficionados. Like myself.But we never seem to see Indians discussing classical poetry and article writing. Do Indians really learn Indian poetry?
Tagore is very famous in China. I can recite a few poems written by Tagore. Tagore is also often talked about on the Chinese Internet. His poetry is full of philosophy. Of course. Only philosophy. There's nothing else.Educated Indians do learn (and appreciate) poetry, some are aficionados. Like myself.
The region of Mangia-la (where I am from) is actually famous for poetry and prose. It is the most intellectual and progressive region of the Indian subcontinent.
Here is one - who is a Nobel Laureate poet, Rabindranath Tagore. Some of his translated poems appear here (Lu Jian translated this book, Gitanjali),
