Tagore is very famous in China. I can recite a few poems written by Tagore. Tagore is also often talked about on the Chinese Internet. His poetry is full of philosophy. Of course. Only philosophy. There's nothing else.

However - educated people and uneducated people in India are two distinct things.

There is a lot of commonality between the values of educated people (intelligentsia and academics) in both countries.

There are too many pseudo-educated people in India (in fact all of South Asia) nowadays.

They are too loud on the Internet.

These are people who claim themselves as educated - yet, have no principles or values. Mostly new rich.

I avoid mixing with such people.
