What is wrong with these people, will we ever progress? There are some aspects of the law I agree with but not the others, Pakistan was created to be a secular state not a theocratic one.

And all of them want other people to follow Sharia first before they can do it. The more illiterate and corrupt a nation, the more propensity toward sharia. The map speaks for itself. Who will become the sharia enforcers? It is usually people like Molvi diesel. Without the establishment's sponsorship, these parasites will disappear in thin air. Writing about them makes them more important than they are.

What made me sad was seeing a Pakistani reddit forum trying to justify this and says it a good thing, some had logical views but they are supposed to be our educated class no? But I agree this mindset will dissappear, also Pakistanis need to stop defending Islam or such ideologies as if its a major part of our identity, we have much more to our country than a religion. Which most don't seem to know

Because they probably want to marry underage girls and keep female slaves. Sharia will allow them to do it.

There is nothing wrong with Nazi or fascist laws either. One group will try to enforce it while other group will resist. The winner will decide what happens. You will find plenty of Nazi/ Fascist supporters. Even many death cults have supporters too. They donโ€™t have an army or government yet. That is the difference.

Not suited for the modern world, Pakistan has many problems in its society, shariah law fixes none of them and makes things worse overall, also damging Islam in the process like in iran
