[🇮🇳] Mahindra's game changer BE6 and XE9 EVs. Changing the dynamics of automobiles.

G   Indian Defense Forum
Short Summary: Mahindra EV
This is a great choice for Indians as the main components are all sourced from VW, who is a world leader in EV vehicle technology. VW Tech but at Mahindra price.
At just 20% of cost to comparable vehicle anywhere. If VW as you said is world leader EV than naturally all other EV manufacturers may be sourcing the technology from them so as Mahindra. This is true for almost all products in globalization scenario. Japanese tried to go against that and made situation worst for themselves.

The VW ID4 is a runaway hit in the West Coast of US where EV adoption is much higher than the rest of the country.

More so than a lot of the Japanese SUVs. Partly due to the fact that they were locally assembled from early on and avoided the import-tariffs as well as attracted govt. subsidies in the US.

But having EVs as products is one thing, having a robust charging network is another. Re-charging network is crucial if one has to attract a larger number of buyers of battery driven EVs. Most battery EVs have ranges of no farther than a 130 or so miles (220 KM). I am surprised they claim 800 KM range.

Actual range shall be 550 to 600. Tata Naxon with 45 kw battery claims 489 km range Arai certified and in actual gives 350 to 370 km. When battery backup is 79 kw, about 83% higher, we may expect around 550 to 600 k
M. Range.
