Pakistan has about 10% shia. So it’s a minority, no denying that. Majority of them are in Karachi, mainly from UP. Then some in Lahore/ Jhang and momin pura areas. Then in balochistan yous got the hazara Chinese shias. And then up in kp in hangu/ parachinar there are pashto shia and gilgit Baltistan is also big chunk shia.

Total is still about 10% to maybe 15% max.

They’re pretty tight knit amongst each other and educated and successful as a community.

The rift is not really a rift per se. Shia/ sunni sorta live separately as a society, not much interaction between da two communities. If there is violence then it is engineered.
