The esteemed film actress Neelu Begum. Commencing her professional journey in 1956, she garnered recognition through the acclaimed song "Aaye Mosam Rangeeley Sohaney" in the highly successful film 'Saat Laakh.'

Her remarkable performance in the blockbuster 'Zarqa' earned her the Nigar Award. In 2022, Neelu Begum was honored with the Sitara-i-Imtiaz.

She departed on January 30, 2021, in Lahore.

Today marks the eighth anniversary of the passing of the esteemed Pakistani film actor, producer, and director, Habib-ur-Rehman. Born in 1931 in the Indian state of Patiala, he left an indelible mark on the film industry, appearing in over six hundred Punjabi and Urdu films and earning acclaim as a prominent romantic lead.

Beginning his cinematic journey in 1956 with 'Lakht-e Jigar' alongside Noor Jehan, his career soared with hits like 'Zeher-e-Ishq' with Mussarat Nazeer and 'Devdas' with Shamim Ara and Nayyar Sultana, which garnered international acclaim. In recognition of his contributions, he was honored with the Presidential Pride award by the government.

Habib-ur-Rehman passed away in Lahore in 2016 after battling a prolonged illness. Today, we remember his legacy and enduring impact on Pakistani cinema.

Fans are commemorating the fourth anniversary of the passing of Amanullah Khan, a renowned Punjabi theatre performer, comedian, and television artist. Amanullah passed away on March 6, 2020, due to kidney failure at a private hospital in Lahore.

Today marks the first anniversary of the passing of esteemed actor Qavi Khan. Originating his career as a young talent on Radio Pakistan Peshawar, his birthplace, Qavi Khan transitioned to Pakistan Television in 1964, swiftly establishing himself as one of its prominent figures.

Renowned for his roles in productions such as "Lakhon Mein Aik" and the widely acclaimed "Andhera Ujala," he garnered nationwide recognition. Venturing into cinema in 1965, Qavi Khan contributed to numerous films, including "Mauhabbat Zindagi Hai," "Chand Suraj," "Sarfarosh," "Kalay Chor," and "Zameen Asman."

For his significant contributions to both the nation and the entertainment industry, Qavi Khan was honored with the Pride of Performance and Sitara-i-Imtiaz awards by the government. Today, we reflect on his legacy with reverence, remembering his invaluable impact on the cultural landscape of Pakistan.

Esteemed Latif Kapadia, born on March 27, 1934, in Nasik, Maharashtra. Renowned for his contributions to Pakistan's television industry, he began his career as a stage actor in the 1950s under the guidance of Meherji and Pervaiz Dastur.

Joining the Avant-Garde Arts Theatre in 1957, he starred in acclaimed productions like "Sheeshay Kay Aadmi." Transitioning to television in 1967, he continued to captivate audiences with roles in plays such as "Baarish" and "Fifty Fifty."

His talents extended to the silver screen, appearing in the 1998 film "Very Good Dunya, Very Bad Log." Not only an actor but also a singer, he honored his friend Ahmed Rushdi through song. Recognized for his contributions, he received the Pride of Performance award in 2001.

Sadly, Latif Kapadia passed away on March 29, 2002, leaving behind a lasting legacy survived by his wife, son, and four daughters. He was laid to rest in Karachi's Mewashah graveyard.

Today marks the birth anniversary of the esteemed Qawwal Aziz Mian, born in Delhi on April 17, 1942. He gained fame for his unique blend of ghazals and Qawwali music.

After graduating from the University of Punjab, he pursued a career in music, specializing in Qawwali. In 1989, the Government of Pakistan recognized his contributions by awarding him the Pride of Performance honor.

Throughout his impressive four-decade career, he released 65 albums. Aziz Mian was known for his expertise in Urdu literature and Arabic, and he notably performed the longest recorded Qawwali during a live concert. Some of his most popular Qawwalis include 'Allah Hi Jane Kaun Bashar Hai', 'Nabi Nabi Ya Nabi Nabi', 'Main Sharabi', 'Teri Soorat', and 'Admi Hai Benazir'. Aziz Mian Qawwal passed away on December 6, 2000, in Multan.
