Artha Shastra statecraft discussion of which Kautilya (Chanakya) was the author of in 400 BCE - - India's strategic foreign policy is based on this.
Bangladeshis and Pakistanis need to understand Chanakya's philosophy, which is how Indian strategic military planners think. Instead of mutually assured annihilation, Chanakya stressed using psychological and demographic tactics to take care of the state's adversaries, which avoided the cost of war and blood spilt.
This was presented at the US Army war college by Dr. Larry Goodson, a tenured professor there.
Here is also another historical military strategy discussion by Sarah Paine about the countries of the subcontinent and how it was molded by Superpower and regional power rivalries. Sarah C. M. Paine is an American historian and professor of strategy and policy at the U.S. Naval War College
