If I am not wrong - अगर मैं गलत नहीं हु - Manmohan Singh, while announcing the economic liberalisation in parliament in 1991, had quoted the lines of Urdu poem, Sarfaroshi ki tamannah ab hamare dil mein hai.. The opposition responded mockingly by laughing and ridiculing him as he uttered the lines.

Speaking of Modi's characteristic humour, Modi once cracked a Sardarji joke on the then PM. No offence to the late PM but the joke was roughly as follows:
