I'd say a major role model for smaller SEAL teams of nations like Pakistan, Bangladesh, Myanmar and Thailand where rivers and coastal waterways are a major component of the landscape and threat imprint. @Saif bhai what are the applicability to Bangladesh scenario, maybe you can expound on that. In believe we already have some of the same assets and watercraft US marine uses for this. Our SWADS also trains with the Marines and US Navy Seal teams every year.

What enemy threats do BD face in the sundarbans ?

No combat in the bogs and swamps, even India Pak share those muddy bogs in Gujarat. I believe we do have a force operating there with airboats.

Not worth the effort getting through those areas, they are natural barriers, much like most of the Himalyan range is between India and China, and India Pak, but some of those peaks need to be manned, spl after Kargil.
