As per media reports, the gold reserves are believed to stretch across about 100 hectares, with estimates running into millions of tonnes. In addition to this, experts suggest that if fully explored, the disovery of Madhya Pradesh's Jabalpur could bring revolutionary economic changes for Jabalpur and the entire state of Madhya Pradesh.

The region is already a global supplier of iron and other minerals, with exports going to countries like China and India. Currently, around 42 mines are operational here, producing iron, manganese, limestone, silica sand, and laterite.
