Pakistanis are generally respected in Canada - much more so than the Indian diaspora here. The Indians are very disliked. I'm not too sure about the US but I do know that the Pakistanis there are the most influential section of our diaspora worldwide.

I met yesterday a young Pakistani girl in Miami from Sindh who speaks Sindhi at home. However, I was very impressed on her fluency in Chinese Mandarin as I also speak it. She did her Ph.D in Beijing.

These Indians have totally diminished themselves in Canada. And you know their reputation down unda. Half of Amritsar, Chandigarh, Haryana and Patiala have moved to Canada. There are so many indians in Canada that going to local malls is like you walking around in India......lol
