Its a good start i would agree as far as assembling is concerned as BAF has never done anything like this before. But please do not get fooled by these stupid propaganda videos. What we are seeing here is 50-70 year old technology that militarily is redundant. These kit based planes are assembled in garages as a hobby in the west.

These bogus talks of starting a aviation industry is quite ridiculous.

Bhai I agree it is a slow aircraft which is typical of a trainer. In fact the slower the better (lower stall speed).

But most COIN (COunter INsurgency) aircraft are also slow, even the Jet powered ones.

In any case, this can be used as a COIN platform against insurgents and terrorists in the hill tracts.

A more powerful engine can be fitted, which is common in the evolution of many trainer aircraft programs. And flight envelope can be extended quite a bit by introducing incremental improvements such as control surface changes and weight reduction.
