I plan to study the Geeta and Upanishads as well.

The only problem with your logic is that no Islamic country that I know of, professes Shariah Islam (the edicts are from the Shariah), and we don't live in the 7th of 8th century anymore.

Even the Saudis will not kill an apostate, if I recall correctly. And they are the signature wahhabis.

If some psycho nutcase decides to do this (kill a supposed "apostate") - then we cannot attribute it back to any modern day Muslim or the religion they follow, which your Hindutva buddies are trying to do.

Whatever happens between nutcases (Quran burnings and murder) only means they are nutcases, and all religions have their fair share of those...

The more important question is - why bad mouth a religion (Islam) so much and keep accepting remittances to support one's destitute country from Muslims. A conflict in principles, if I may say so...

That is true but I have heard this from Islamic scholars' discussion. Murtad is Wajib ul qatla.
