Bangladesh and India today discussed ways to deepen defence cooperation and strengthen military ties during a meeting between Prime Minister’s Defence Adviser Brig Gen (retd) AKM Shamsul Islam and Indian High Commissioner to Bangladesh Pranay Verma.
The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) disclosed the development in a release. The two sides also discussed expanding training collaboration.
The meeting was held at the Armed Forces Division in Dhaka Cantonment, reads the release.
A four-member delegation led by the Indian high commissioner called on Shamsul at his office. During the meeting, the two sides discussed the existing military relationship between the two countries and the prospects for further progress in the future, the release added.
