BUYING jf-17 will be absolutely awful decision , just as buying f-7 in 2013 was , these jets will become obsolete near future , insted with the same money could buy 10-12 more j10c's and it will serve much better

Well you are entitled to your opinion, but JF-17 will be the F-7 role replacement. J-10CE is too expensive to replace F-7.

Every air force has to measure platform effectiveness for price, i.e. bang-for- the buck. And there are other, far more strategic far-sighted reasons to induct JF-17s, given PAF operates them, i.e. cross-training and flight envelope planning etc. for specific threat scenarios. Also - it seems spares for JF-17 can be had with far less difficulty than other platforms - hence maintenance will be less of a challenge.

Choices for buying air defence platforms are not done in a vacuum, and rest assured, BAF has solid reasons for choosing JF-17.

You need to build up your scientific institutions and tech parks and instill STEM culture in your country like Iran has. So you don't need all these junk toys being sold around the third world, which don't work bhai.

Bangladesh air force will conduct MLU (Mid Life Upgrade) to keep the JF-17 current technology-wise. So, no worries there. As for buying more J-10C, Bangladesh air force has a plan to buy more J-10C in the future. Peace.

• J-10C Fighter: Equipped with advanced radars and firing long-range PL-15 air-to-air missiles, it acts as the shooter.​

How it Works​

1. Detect & Orient: Ground/air sensors detect an enemy aircraft.​
