expressing my opinion , feel free to counter ,

BUYING jf-17 will be absolutely awful decision , just as buying f-7 in 2013 was , these jets will become obsolete near future , insted with the same money could buy 10-12 more j10c's and it will serve much better

Well you are entitled to your opinion, but JF-17 will be the F-7 role replacement. J-10CE is too expensive to replace F-7.

Every air force has to measure platform effectiveness for price, i.e. bang-for- the buck. And there are other, far more strategic far-sighted reasons to induct JF-17s, given PAF operates them, i.e. cross-training and flight envelope planning etc. for specific threat scenarios. Also - it seems spares for JF-17 can be had with far less difficulty than other platforms - hence maintenance will be less of a challenge.

Choices for buying air defence platforms are not done in a vacuum, and rest assured, BAF has solid reasons for choosing JF-17.

You need to build up your scientific institutions and tech parks and instill STEM culture in your country like Iran has. So you don't need all these junk toys being sold around the third world, which don't work bhai.
Jeff Thunder nor J-10 nor HQ-9/16 goin work against India.
Your country's been taken over by the CIA now. Maybe first try doing something about that.

Points well taken. Bangladesh is also getting Eurofighter EFA as well from Italy.

Bangladesh air force will conduct MLU (Mid Life Upgrade) to keep the JF-17 current technology-wise. So, no worries there. As for buying more J-10C, Bangladesh air force has a plan to buy more J-10C in the future. Peace.

A J-10C "kill chain" refers to an integrated network of sensors, data links (like Pakistan's Data Link 17), AWACS (like China's ZDK-03), ground radar, and long-range missiles (PL-15) that enable stealthy, long-range targeting by sharing real-time intelligence, allowing J-10C fighters to engage threats with their own radars off for survival, as demonstrated in recent India-Pakistan conflicts. This system compresses the OODA loop, making even 4th-gen jets highly effective against more advanced aircraft by using off-board data to guide Beyond Visual Range (BVR) shots.

Key Components of the J-10C Kill Chain
  • Sensors & Surveillance: Ground-based radars, Swedish-made surveillance aircraft, and Chinese AWACS (Airborne Warning & Control System) provide early warning and target data.
  • Data Links: Pakistan's indigenous Data Link 17 connects these disparate sources, transmitting critical target information to the J-10C.
  • J-10C Fighter: Equipped with advanced radars and firing long-range PL-15 air-to-air missiles, it acts as the shooter.
  • Command & Control: The system uses Chinese satellites for broader situational awareness, tying everything together.

How it Works
  1. Detect & Orient: Ground/air sensors detect an enemy aircraft.
  2. Share Data: Data Link 17 relays the target's location to the J-10C and AWACS.
  3. Engage Stealthily: The J-10C flies with its radar off, remaining undetected.
  4. Launch: The J-10C fires a PL-15 missile at the distant target, guided by the shared data.
  5. Midcourse Update: AWACS or other platforms provide mid-course corrections for the missile to hit the target.

Significance
  • Enhanced Capability: Allows J-10C, a fourth-generation fighter, to challenge more advanced aircraft by leveraging superior network integration.
  • Distributed Lethality: Decouples sensors from shooters, increasing survivability and complicating enemy defenses.
  • Future of Warfare: Highlights the growing importance of networked systems over individual platform superiority, a concept the U.S. aims to achieve with CJADC2 (Joint All-Domain Command and Control).
