You sold an old Kilo. Submarine is a strategic weapons platform. So, by selling a Kilo to Myanmar India wanted to put Bangladesh into a precarious position.
Not sold. Gifted.

A year earlier, India delivered a Kilo Class submarine to Myanmar Navy at an undisclosed price.
I am confused now. Was the Kilo gifted or sold at a nominal price?đ€Well the WION news report said,
I am confused now. Was the Kilo gifted or sold at a nominal price?đ€
Indian navy operates 6-7 Kilos which they are planning to phase out in near future. If the Indian navy sell these Kilos to Myanmar navy at a nominal price, Bangladesh navy will be doomed. Our two upgraded Ming class won't be able to protect our EEZ from these Kilos.Per WION. it was sold at an undisclosed sum.
But as is common in India, propaganda will change now.
I guess thinking about this is waste of time. Doesn't matter.

Indians don't care. They consider Myanmar a friend and Bangladesh an enemy. Just watch the videos of Indian army's Generals about the geopolitical interest of India. You will get the message.even if (BIG IF) India decides to sell these to Myanmar (which will be considered a hostile act by Bangladesh and will cast a huge shadow over bilateral relations with India).

Our navy lacks frigates with true capabilities. We need to retire old Chinese frigates and procure new generation Chinese frigates such as Type 054B. According to a retired two star General of Bangladesh army, IA's artillery is a serious concern for BA. We are lagging behind in air power also.Such immature behavior from the top leadership of a nation as big as India only goes to prove their incompetence. Unlike China with a 5000 year old well-disciplined and successful administration (which did face issues at various times in history), the record for India is questionable at best since the British left. Even the defence sector for such a massive economy has few if any achievements compared to China which is now rivaling that of the US with 6th Gen. fighters and bombers (J36 and J50).
Their administration is sadly only floating on thinly supported bubbles of untruths and propaganda at best to hide the massive incompetence, corruption and mismanagement.
Indians (especially their poor) deserve so much better. Most Indians are thinking of leaving in massive numbers, a good number have left.
Little surprise that Mamata Banerjee (WB CM) quipped about the recent Mahakumbh mela that it was a "Mrityu Kumbh" (Death Trap). 100 Million people converging in a disorganized place of muck and filth with no health or safety concern by the authorities in charge. Death toll is 30 confirmed and over 60 injured.
Sorry for the off topic foray, don't want to attract comments from the usual suspects.

I have built up a thread titled: Forces Goal-2030. The link is below:Well correcting these gaps are going to take time. How is the Army, Navy and Air Force planning the remediation of the gaps?
Does Forces goal 2030 even begin to cover it? How should we get started in dealing with their artillery? I thought we had gotten some Turkish stuff.
Hasina's long term sucking up to Modi did some serious damage, we should've concentrated on a missile program like Pakistan long ago, maybe now is a great time to cover the lost time.
I don't think that plan anticipated Myanmar Junta's bonhomie with India in terms of defence cooperation, which I think should be included in the planning.
Unless our armed services have a plan and roadmap, how can we begin to look at the holes?
Let me study the Forces goal 2030 - then we can discuss. You can as well.
