Well the Cobra II is a great platform (whole different animal compared to Cobra I in terms of MRAP) and offers autogun mounts as well as amphibious capability, great choice. We need to assemble it locally at BMTF though, to reduce acquisition costs and help indigenous skills.

We need to replace all our BTR-80s with Otokar Cobra II at the soonest. BTR-80s have no protection against IED as it has been amply evidenced in the various UN missions. We have enough engineers who are capable of manufacturing Otokar Cobra II at BMTF. So, I am for manufacturing not mere assembling of Otokar Cobra II. Thank you.
