I don't know why you are so despondent. What has changed negatively for Pakistan after this skirmish? As far as I am concerned, it is status quo. Both sides have confirmed that they cannot defeat the other side. Indians have confirmed that despite possessing the arsenal, they lack the will to escalate, because we care too much about ekanamy. By sending diplomatic delegations we are making a mockery of ourselves. No one gives a &&&& about the squabble between two bhikari countries.

I believe any govt, whether Congi or BJP, would have been pressurized to act in haste due to the relentless media and social media war mongering. In defence of the govt (not any party), it's options were limited. You are damned if you do, damned if you don't. You can't pulverize a well prepared enemy like Pak after a few days planning. At the same time you can't wait for the fizz to die out. Itnay paisay mei itna hi milega wala scene tha.
