Current military junta is already considered an anti Pashtun regime by many in KPK and North Balochistan ( the Pashtun belt ). Going to war with Talibs is just gonna metastasize that.

You misunderstood me. Majority of Pashtuns are highly patriotic but that doesn't mean they are pro military. Especially since last 2 years.

Best wayfor Pakistan would be to be exploit the ethnic faultlines in Afghanistan.

Contrary to what many may believe, Afghanistan is a very fractured society. East and South Afghanistan is different from West ( Uzbeks, Tajiks, Turkmans etc ). They have an axe to grind with Talibs.
