I cannot choose my country flag to Pakistan. I love Afghanistan but I don’t want Afghani flag because I am not Afghani. Please give me Pakistani nationality. I will thank your post
 
There seems to be a problem in selecting Flags.
No body can select a flag, it stuck in the block. It you put a requirement, without that facility...and you can not save your preference.

We're working on it and it should be implemented before the end of today.

Thank you for this wonderful website. I had 20 posts on old forum so please transfer my post count here.

We should have different thread titles in this forum compared to old forums so that our forum is indexed better on search engines like Google otherwise it may treat us as duplicate of other forums and block our website from getting indexed.

For example General Cricket Thread could be General Cricket News and Discussion or Iranian Chill Thread could be Iranian Corner. It will help us build unique identity and other forum won’t blame us for copying their content.

Wow! This forum has now been properly upgraded to Xenforo. I really disliked discourse to the point where I had stopped loggin in. Now this new re-organziation shows real promise.

First suggestion, if possible: Please add a dark mode.

Otherwise my monitors will give me sunburn if I use this website for more than a few minutes a day, which, simply will not be enough, as those who know me will testify.

I tried to force myself to use it but it just didn't have the feeling to it, Xenforo is the best. The colouring is nice too.

The dark theme is great to use, thank you once again. The uploads are quick and the timing requirement between posts is reasonable. I can see this forum has promise.

A question: what are the permissible file size and/or resolution limits for photographs uploaded?
 
Since most members are from South Asia, I believe the forum should have a South and Central Asia section. Also army, navy and airforce sections and a general military section could be set up like the old PDF to better feature this forum being a defense one.
 
The website is considerably slower than defensepk.com. Please do something about it for better UX

Please disable the Content Delivery Network (CDN) as it's causing cookie issues on my device. I occasionally face the inconvenience of having to log in twice. Disabling CDN might slow your website, but it should address my login problem..

The page navigation buttons for a thread work only going to higher numbers and not with smaller numbers, i.e. going forward and not backwards, for navigation.
 
It would be helpful to know more about how to submit articles for publication as content exclusive to DefPK.

The instructions in the subforum are locked, hence this post here:

1. Number of words and media format requirements.
2. Permissible topics.
3. Editorial policy and board.
4. Process for review of drafts submitted.

As I transition into a new online presence, I hope to gradually manifest those changes here in due course as well, within DefPK rules and according to the vision of management, inasmuch as possible, without compromising my own principles.
 
Is there any purpose of having a photo in Sports section? whenever, I open the section first photo will come up, it's a bit odd.

We may want to consider creating original productions made in America instead of those in Pakistan. How the establishment will react to American-made multimedia productions is well worth testing. Besides, it doesn't have to be political at all. I am unsure if DefPK has built-in video hosting, but that will not be an issue. In 2024, most people are more interested in watching than reading, let alone writing. Reading/writing culture is in steep decline. We must catch up with contemporary trends and set new ones. I strictly avoid personal publicity, so I still refrain from posting any video content on YouTube.

Sir besides Urdu I only understand the language of Love and I recommend you to learn it. It is a beautiful language especially if spoken with your partner.

He understands all languages but I give a special “Wazeefa” for direct flight to him. My wazeefa is a shortest route to God.

All you need to do is, donate 100 rupees in charity at Data Darbar and 20 rupees for my future Darbar, terms and conditions applied. Then recite Allah Hu, Allah Hu for 800 times and then take a deep breath and read Durood Shareef for 11 times. Recite Ya Rahman, Ya Rahman 800 times to end the Wazeefa.

Then pray to Allah to capture your soul and you will reach out to him directly.

The homepage slowly became a copy of other defence forums: the same categories, titles, and colour scheme. We should have just installed the same skin to make it easier. But I am happy we are winning as we now have 5 tabs compared to 3. Good job

Sir it was a compliment. Please fix two issues

  • Reduce the number of posts per page from 20 to 15
  • It should go to the last post when I open the link as it goes to the first post each time I open the thread. It is annoying this way and hopefully, it will improve User Experience after implementing these two changes.

@TheNewb77, Xenforo forum UI sorts thread posts chronologically by default, where the oldest posts appear first while clicking on the thread. It differs from VBulettin, where the admin can change the sort order. I believe there is a Xenforo plugin that can make the newest post appear first, but one must test it to confirm, as Xenforo doesn't include this feature by default. @Malang is requesting this sorting feature, I believe.

It is a part of the routine tests, as this forum is still new. Web admins have to perform specific tests to optimize the forum UI.

May be enable the default skin of xenforo if no other skin is installed and work with this skin however you like. I don’t like dark mode so please don’t suggest the dark mode version

Please open a Discord group for the PkDefense staff; members who did not join our Discord channel can now join the Pakistan Defense Forum Discord Channel. The general channel is open to all members anyway. It makes discussions and communication a lot easier. If you never used Discord before, someone is always here to help.
