In all of my traveling around this place, broken Hindi me kaam chalta hai for the most part, English is also effective but not as ubiquitous.
Maybe in TN and a couple other places the locals would have an easier time communicating in angreji, this is no competition but overall Hindi wins, easy.
Aap bhi toh bolte ho little bit, no ?



Me - I'm rather chill about this.
However majority people in WB, in TN, Andhra, Karnataka, Kerala are seeing Hindi speakers take their jobs, buy property, even become politically strong against locals - displacing them.
That is not sitting well with these non-Hindi speakers. Things are already bad.
This happened in East Pakistan fifty years ago - and its happening in India now.
BJP should tone down their Hindi campaign in my opinion, otherwise this will get real ugly real fast.
