That is true. Economy was surviving not flourishing. Rampant corruptions, Bank default, High inflation, GDP going down, terrorist attack all round the country. India labeled dark sport in world economy unable to rise in relative position of economy in a full decade. Today, it is fastest growing major economy in the world. India became 4th largest economy from No 10. Defense very strong.

What is true is that he rode the wave of India having achieved critical mass under the astute leadership and policies of the Congress. And then plastering his face across each of those and renaming and taking credit for them.

The fact of the matter is that the educated guy got a strong economy in legacy. Corrency getting stronger against USD, huge employment, all time low trade deficit and good GDP growth rate. What he managed to do was increase in import of capital goods by 700% in 1 decade. Rampant corruption and economy struggling. Steel plants closing, huge NPA. Country Humiliated on international forum. Small countries threating nation. Bomb Blast in every corner of the country. No response to a s**ty Nation like Pakistan. Once again a leader replaced an educated puppet and Economy went on track and India emerged as a strong nation which it deserved.

I am not pure Bhakta. In fact I am a big Critic of Modi. However, there is no comparison between our beloved rubber stamp P.M. Manmohan sinh ji and Gujju Modi. Modi is a super man compared to all Ex PMs. @Vsdoc sir also knows that. He is posting all he posted to make debate interesting.

Congress is such a large hearted party that credit of their work is always taken by others. First of all, Morarji Desai took credit, followed by Chandra Shekhar, vajpayee ji and now Modi. People don't understand this.

When He took charge of affirs in Gujarat in 2001, Gujarat Economy was at No 5, In next 4 years, he brought it to 3rd position. When he took charge in Delhi, Indian economy was at 10th Position. In a decade, he bought to 5th position and now on 4th. In next couple of years to 3rd position. That is why people love him and keeps electing again and again. Since when he came to electoral politics 24 years ago, he has not lost any election.
