What you say is true but it is different a bit. In India, it is a part of long tradition and social arrangement and because of hate for other cast/ ethnicity or out of hate or consider others inferior. India never claims it to be a society where the freedom of choosing life partner is not exclusive of boy or girl. Parents have a say in same.

Pakistan is the region of India that has millennially been invaded by nearly everyone, with alien male DNA mixed liberally with every deep incursion. Pardon the pun.
