Q&A Your opinion on Pork or Pig Meat

As we know it is Haraam to eat pork in Islam.

Eating pork is forbidden in Islam, Judaism, and Ethiopian Tawahedo Orthodox Christianity.

One of my Non-Muslim classmates laughed in university, saying he had to go see for himself. He said its too fatty for him.

He was thinking maybe in the spiritual sense that pork is sinful. LOL.

There is disease in Pork, notably pork tapeworm. LOL.

Wild donkey…..the Chinese people in that house slaughtered the three donkeys and ate them bro….……wtf…..

meh, that's not so bad. Encircled armies ate their horses for thousands of years... Horse, donkey I don't mind. Special ops guys eat much worse things in the field to survive. What I can't comprehend is how they invented something as disgusting as gutter oil. They are literally eating human excrement. That blew my mind.

Bro in any of our gatherings, whether its liberal pakistani or secular turks or the Zoroastrian Irani's.......nobody puts hog on da table. It's become taboo.

If there's hog on da table, our women just walk away from dinner......

Nobody wanna touch it. Here in Japan too most of the girls don't eat meat.

I wouldn't touch wild hog either. There's no way of knowing what kind of parasites might be in that meat. Domestic pigs on the other hand, it's the second most consumed type of meat in the world after beef. Billions of people eat it, should be safe if cooked properly.

Although I wish Turks ate wild hog. There would be more reason to hunt them and their population would be kept in check. The wild hog population is out of control in some parts of Turkey and they ruin crops, inflict millions of dollars of damage to the economy.

I'm paying over a thousand liras per kilogram of beef sometimes, it's an incredible amount of money where the minimum wage is 17 thousand liras per month. Turkish food economy is utterly fucked. Something has to give.

You can't mix pork into red meat it would be instantly noticable.

Among the things you mentioned, donkey is the only thing that could maybe pass for beef.

The strong spices cover it all up. Once it’s ground up and then cooked like we do kabab or Qeema or kofta……nobody can tell man…..they just eat it on the street specially the poor people. Most are starving as is. I bet you even if they’re told it’s contaminated ground chuck, they’d just ignore it.

I doubt they could get away with it for long. I know one case of one guy murdering someone and trying to feed the corpse to his guests at his restaurant. Instantly got caught. And human flesh is much closer to beef than pork

Many butchers/ importers have been caught over the years in Lahore. It comes in pre-ground from east punjab in India, labelled as 'mix qeema' in these big blue barrels. Indians know there's serious demand in Pakistan.When they test it in food lab in Lahore, there's always pork contamination:

I love bacon with my eggs. Pork sausage currywurst is another favourite of mine. Drunken pork sizzler made crispy with the skin and fat is another. Ham and luncheon meat sandwiches was standard fare in school tiffin.
