in the west/US, you can order kits for motored paragliders

paramotors? too.. running takeoff with a big fan on your back and a parachute.. check Tucker Gott on YouTube, amazing stuff. It'll never fly in India, but, with all our over-regulation.. you even gotta be careful flying your regular DJI etc drones here.. they'll just randomly harass you, the cops.

He has little idea of aerodynamics I believe. But does know that if you go fast, the ultralight will take off.

What is absent (and could be improved) is a lighter (and more powerful) engine like a Rotax, probably some weight reduction in the pipe structure (GFRP/CFRP tubes) and then some flaps and slats to control/increase lift at the right time and slow the darned thing down for landing. Just gilding the lily. I don't know if the control surfaces control lines are duplicated for safety, they should be.

On the plus side - this tells you that even backwoods gaon level people like this in Bangladesh can build crap like this and film it with Chinese handheld videocams. I'm sure situation in Pakistan and India are also similar.

He went viral and got a lot of help from the govt. now and the political parties too. They all wanna be seen as helping the average "aam janta guy" to excel in science experimentation. I believe instead of money, the army's and Airforce's flight instructors should buy some ultralights and train people to popularize pilot training.
