India was the centre of the world for one and half millennia.

Sir ji, there is nothing to be proud of in being centre of the world. In those times it meant that you were a fertile, overpopulated land, waiting to be exploited. It has nothing to do with human achievement. Even if it did, we are not inheritors of that legacy. That world is gone forever. We are mediocre country with mediocre people today.
