You have little idea about what the results of assaults are (and the damages awarded). I think $100,000 will be on the low side of what he gets as rewards/settlement. Even spitting on someone can be an assault in the USA and can get you $50,000. Depends on which state and the laws there. California is more liberal.

Wahhabism in Bangladesh is not like that in Saudi. He is just trying to give his kids a better future. Don't know why he shaved his beard. Probably trying to avoid future incidents of hate crime.

I wouldn't be $hit-kicking for no reason. You have to meet a few Bangladesh cabbies. They are to a person religious and honest. Not like cabbies of other kinds in NYC. Family people leading sidhey-saadhey lives.
