Some went to Iraq/Syria later and again were the toughest among all the jihadists, there were also reports of some Uyghurs fighting for them but not so sure about their fighting prowess.

China is too strong compared to Syria. However, China does not have good exposure in fighting with Militancy and terrorism. If Uyghurs ally with a good inelegance agency of China's enemy country, properly train and motivates its fighters, maintains proper supply line of weapons and backs their operations with proper funding, they can fight a long war against China. They need to identify and target high value targets in China to be a noticeable group with negotiation potential.
