Which decade did South-Asian subcontinent's middle-class got access to portable video camera? And can someone tell more about when and how common South Asians began using video cameras at home?

The "PKTweets" Forum was made for other related topics as such as these, so it should be fine to ask here.

Among the popular models in India & Pakistan were the Canon EOS 200D Mark II, Nikon D3500, Sony Alpha a6000, and Fujifilm X-T30 in the 1980s.
Those DSLR models you mentioned are not home-use portable. OP asked about consumer camcorders such as JVC GR-D240EK MINIDV CAMCORDER like one below :

Ask this question to a south-Asian consumer electronics forum. This is the wrong forum for this kind of question.

Canon EOS 200D Mark II, Nikon D3500, Sony Alpha a6000, and Fujifilm X-T30 did not exist in the 198o's.
Very difficult to even Google such miscellaneous questions. I tried but didn't get the answer from my attempts.

@TheNewb77 said 1980s. Was that all? I thought hand-held home-use type video cameras must have been available since the time of black & white era, at least to rich people.
