It is very rare to find such a Pakistani in the USA, which denies his Pakistanhood. However, I have seen here in the USA a few who claim to be Emirati, Omani, Bahrani etc, while they are all from the former FATA agencies.

yaar don't you remember after 911 how so many of our people just immediately used to say we are 'Indians' to get away from being 'stigmatized' as Al-Qaeda/ talibunny lovers by the hillbilly. ......I lived in da midwest near Chicago and it was just fear and loathing everywhere. All the arbi started saying dey are Greeks and Assyrian christy X-Tians and our jhaggay turned Indians in no time. ......It got so ugly in the immediate aftermath of 911. Millions left the US in fear of being caught up in da FBI dragnet, if they were illegal. There used to 1.6 million Pakistani's in the US before 911. Today there are less than 600k.

Ordinary Americans consider all South Asian to be Muslims and they even beat up hindus and sikhs mistaken for Muslims. They do not understand that Christianity and Jews came to Pakistan a thousand years before Columbus.

If hendu-pak ain't metro-sexual lookin as in clean cut and bathed/ showered/ decent clothes/ not too dark like Indian and with money/ education presenting himself like an educated westernized migrant, westerners just reject him/ her like they do wid da bhlack peepal. It's very bad! I's seen it in Devon our biggest Pakistani hood in da Chi-Raaq.

Today, it is very hard to find our guys who do not copy Indian soap opera actors with beards. Try finding a recent wedding picture where the Pakistani groom has no beard. They all now look like Indian soap opera actors/cricketers ( joker).

With Turkish dramas, American dramas, Indian Dramas, and our dramas, there is now an odd blend of Pakistani dramas that emulate all of the above.

I grew up seeing my grandfather, father, and uncles all clean shave every single morning. I still do the same. But I cannot believe my eyes when I look at many others. Some became Tablighi, and others looked like failed soap opera actors with beards.
