You cannot compare the two.

The nuclear deal was an epochal nation saving move.

A one time thing.

I do not know why Bangladeshis are cheering high tariff on India? None of these products can be substituted by BD except Apparel product which is at No. 10 as per their list.
Just like your gormint was bad mouthing Bangladesh last year through Godi Media when Hasina was pushed out.

Now the shoe is on the other foot.

Everything can be substituted for export in Bangladesh, not just apparel, pharma or electronics. Indian businesspeople are already lining up to set up shop in Bangladesh.

It's not what is exported but WHO ADDS VALUE before export. Even Backoffice can be substituted. Just watch.

US has no guts to stop Mobile export and pharma export from India. Neither high value precious metal shall be affected. India is expanding in global south, Africa and Europe. Neither service export is likely to affect which is whooping 33+ bn USD. First quarter alone export this year has crossed 11 BN. USD.
Keep blowing like a blowhard - Sanghi habits are wonderful.

India is better than the US now, US has no guts? Bla bla bla. Is your head screwed on right?

  1. 1. Top dogs in the US are saying India's economy is a "dead" economy.
  2. 2. India’s per capita income is 31 times lower than that of the US.
  3. 3. India ranks 140th in the world when it comes to disposable income per person, with an average of just $3,000 per year.
Compared to even Bangladesh, India - which claims to be an advanced economy, shows poorly.

Relentless propaganda and hugs with Trump aren't going to change things in India.

Do you know where Indian economy is and where US economy is? 50% US tariff made Feku run to Beijing, which was unthinkable even a month ago. But alas - the Chinese can play Feku like a fiddle. Good luck.

The export uptick in 1Q24 from India was a tariff avoidance measure ahead of the axe-fall which has finally fallen now.

Let's see now what happens.

India has hit back and sanctioned some service to US which US had exempted.
I still say Trump does have a point.. ye 175% or whatever import duty on imported automobiles, as an example.. is insane !

Same Harley ya Dodge whatever etc double in prices if an Indian wants to buy... 20 lakh ki gaadi 40 ki milegi.. why ? .. same on so many electronic items, and many others.. Trump does have a point, and I agree with him.. purely as a random consumer.

Personally most evident in computer peripherals, music instruments etc (things of my interest)
