U.S. Pulls the Plug on Bangladesh: Is Dhaka Paying the Price for Anti-Hindu Attacks? | India | U.S

New Delhi, Jan. 27 -- In a controversial move, President Donald Trump has suspended U.S. aid to Bangladesh, halting approximately $1 billion in funding for 2023. This decision follows reports of escalating anti-Hindu violence and attacks on minority communities in the country. The U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) has issued a directive to cease all operations in Bangladesh, citing Trump's executive order to review foreign assistance programs.

Now he'll leverage this for making deals with India ! :D

If India gives him good deals, he'll ramp it up further against BD, he not too fond of mulls anyway, spl radical militant ones.

He dgaf about India or BD, usko jo zyada paise dega, uska kaam ho jayega.. business transaction hai.

I like it, this is how it should be. Stay out of our cultural orbit, idhar scene alag hai.. he should concentrate on the EU/west.

Actually, this was on card for quite some time. Trump had warned BD. He hates Yunus who had funded anti Trump Campaign. He called Yunus "That Micro Finance guy". Now wait for Tulsi Gabbard's action. Actually, few radicals who toppled Hasina's government has opened the way for the destruction of BD. I was repeatedly saying that Bad days of BD is coming but our Bangladeshi friends were unwilling to accept that. This is just a beginning. What I foresee for BD is much Worse.

He has a lot of domestic compulsions. He cannot exercise independent policy in best Interest of BD. He has to take into account many radical groups including the influence of ISI. He is not a tough leader like Hasina. Whole BD is going to pay the price of misdeed of radicals and puppet Yunus.
