Pakistan government doubles down on preventing Imran Khan’s Nov. 24 protest

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi on Friday vowed to implement the Islamabad High Court’s (IHC) order, refusing to allow former prime minister Imran Khan’s Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party to stage the Nov. 24 protest in the federal capital demanding his release.

The Pakistani political elite are now fighting over US President-elect Donald Trump. A day after he won the elections, ministers and opposition leaders started arguing over whether Trump would push for the release of former Prime Minister Imran Khan from jail.

Bushra Bibi's role revitalizes PTI movement, says Fawad Chaudhry

Former Federal Minister Fawad Chaudhry has credited Bushra Bibi's involvement with revitalizing the PTI movement.

While talking on private channel, Chaudhry emphasized that protests remain PTI’s sole course of action and outlined three key demands put forward by the party’s founder.

He urged the government to ensure stability and called for the release of political prisoners.

Tis was but yet another "tale told by an idiot, full of sound and fury, signifying nothing". :D

I'm not really surprised.

Imran was always a damp squib for me.

Pakistan is truly in a bad way.

And I see Bangladesh making great strides to catch up.

Just returned from Colombo. Those guys have turned it around quite well. Of course, with a lot of help from us.

Genuinely nice people. Friendly. Intelligent. Grateful. Great neighbors.

@VCheng @Vsdoc

I wholeheartedly disagree with VCheng here. Imran Khan, if you look at how carefully he planned, controlled, and managed what was seen as 'impossible' and turned his progress into a true achievement - motivating millions of Pakistanis and changing their thought process away from slavery into self-respect is truly remarkable.

And he isn't done yet. Against all odds, without symbols, while in jail, he won the general elections (of course, which were robbed). He will, God willing, come back and make Pakistan a truly prosperous state.

I respect your right to disagree with me, of course.

Please do let me know if and when God wills what you hope for above. Until that time, I will respectfully hold on to my opinion as expressed above.

As @Vsdoc alluded to above, individually, Pakistanis may be genuinely nice, friendly, intelligent and grateful, but, taken as a whole, as a society and a nation, they are abhorrently nasty, sullenly hostile, and ignorantly ingrate, as a collective. Unfortunately, while friends are by choice, neighbors, just like relatives, are definitely not by choice.

Bhai, this "put to death" is the bane of you and Bangladesh.

Jail naam ki bhi cheez hoti hai beech mein.
This totla Imran Riaz pendu got arrested and thrown in jail cuz he asked for accountability from the military junta. I don't like him cuz he's a commercial guy who supports mainstream views.

Nobody in Pakistan gets put to death......not even the blasphemers.

Aapko lagta hai itne maheene uske saath jail mein wo achaar daal rahe hain?!

Bhaari par gya, fauj se panga lena..

This phoj is CIA installed and China supported.

No mofo here nor at the other forum got the guts to deny this truth!

It’s been like this since donkey years now.

China US ka toady hae…….hopefully the ones here who are still hesitant to accept this fact of life will understand what I just said.

Every forum follows the directions and policies set by its management, and that, unfortunately, was their choice. Members, of course, have an equal right to participate in any forum, or not, as a matter of choice. And that is how it works. I see no problem here. Or there. :D

Bhai I hear you.

But its disgusting that I spent my own bandwidth and my own brand equity making that place.

As a conscious choice at the time between there and here.

We live and we learn from our own and others' actions. I spent a lot of effort, time and resources on that forum and look at where it is today. What a pity. However, the Interwebz are vast and there is always somewhere else. We go on till we find something more suitable, like this forum, or at least until something changes here too. Ya never know! :D

On with the topic, has the chancellor-ul-momineen been freed to create the raisat-e-madina or not?

Hopefully you know now doc how China is just a businessman at their core. Jo west unko bolta hae they gladly do it. They just want the USD, buss! When the west don’t want to deal with inconvenient countries, foran China ko west bhejta hae to go help out/ sort out.

China and the west in bed together. Trillion dollar trade araam say chal rahi hae aur msm propaganda has us going that China is our greatest rival!

Achhaa!

😝

The entire exercise seems to be coming to its foregone conclusion, at least until the next paroxysm.

To be fair though, I believe Pakistan is better equipped to handle it. Its a path the pendulum has traversed many times before. Even sitting across the border as I am, I'm getting an unstrange feeling of deja vu. And let's face it. Pakistan has a lot less to lose than what Bangladesh did and is rapidly eroding away.

Well, going around the same roundabout in circles while expecting the country to magically "turn a corner" is a futile endeavor by definition. :D
