Bhai, justice is dealt swiftly, and brutally here, spl in raip cases..I get your attempt at lightening the mood, but the fact that Goondas can at will rape people (even tourists) isn't going to wonders for India's global image. What are the police doing?
And people wonder why Indians get treated like they do overseas.
And once caught, why don't they execute these goondas or hand out life sentences? That's be a deterrent in the least...
In Bangladesh - they don't eff around, your case is "sped up" by asking you to run (encounter) and see if you can escape the bullets behind you. Swift justice and one way ticket.
There are highway patrols in Pakistan looking for stranded tourists and assisting them. I have seen them myself. I must say Pakistan is light years ahead of India in this area.
First off, I disagree that there's an "epidemic" of this type of violence here, but no denying these, and others that go unreported.
That reporting in itself but, is a good thing.. the swift sword of justice must fall upon their dirty necks.
These foreigner folk also sometimes, but, make unwise decisions.. those who don't have the lay of the land or have "vibed it out" properly. Like that Spanish couple. Bro, I wouldn't want to be caught middle of the night in some Bihar or whatever village riding or driving with a lady friend ! Full badlands wala scene hai, bhai.. US etc also you don't wanna be walking certain streets or taking bad subway routes etc...
It is what it is...
