The VW ID4 is a runaway hit in the West Coast of US where EV adoption is much higher than the rest of the country.
More so than a lot of the Japanese SUVs. Partly due to the fact that they were locally assembled from early on and avoided the import-tariffs as well as attracted govt. subsidies in the US.
But having EVs as products is one thing, having a robust charging network is another. Re-charging network is crucial if one has to attract a larger number of buyers of battery driven EVs. Most battery EVs have ranges of no farther than a 130 or so miles (220 KM). I am surprised they claim 800 KM range.
