Pakistan Air Force J-10CE fighters shined in the joint exercise, beating Qatar's Typhoon fighter jets 9-0

Recently, a splendid air confrontation exercise between the Pakistan Air Force and the Qatar Air Force came to an end, and the results were remarkable. In this high-intensity simulated battle, the J-10CE fighter of the Pakistan Air Force achieved a 9-0 victory over the Typhoon fighter of the Qatar Air Force with an overwhelming advantage, including a brilliant record of 4 to 0 in over-the-horizon air combat and 5 to 0 in close combat, showing the superb flying skills of Pakistani pilots and the excellent performance of J-10CE fighters.

The exercise was not only a simple technical competition, but also a comprehensive demonstration of the tactical level and operational skills of the two air forces. As an advanced multi-role fighter developed by China, the J-10CE has been fully verified in the exercise with its excellent maneuverability, powerful firepower and advanced avionics system. The Typhoon fighter, as a classic fighter made in Europe, although it has a good reputation around the world, the strength it played in this duel is a big surprise.

This result is undoubtedly a wake-up call for the military aviation industry in Europe. Once regarded as a strong competitor in the high-end fighter market, Europe's Typhoon fighter seems to be a little powerless in the face of the new generation of fighters from countries such as China and the United States. With the increasing maturity of fifth-generation fighter technology, it seems that the future air combat power is gradually becoming a wrestling game between China and the United States.

The results of this exercise also once again demonstrate the complexity and diversity of modern air combat. In terms of stealth technology, electronic warfare capabilities, and information-based command and control, China and the United States and other countries have already taken the lead in the world. For other countries, to remain competitive in the skies of the future, they must constantly update their equipment, improve the training of pilots, and strengthen tactical innovation.

The victory of the Pakistan Air Force in this joint exercise not only won honor for the J-10CE fighter, but also provided a valuable reference for other countries, that is, in the rapidly changing environment of modern warfare, continuous technological upgrading and tactical innovation are the key to maintaining military superiority.

The first time in the same frame: J-10C and "Typhoon" compete on the same stage! Pakistan finally has air superiority

2024-01-26 00:49

J-10CE VS "Typhoon", Pakistan showed a little "China shock" to the local tycoons in the Middle East.

According to a report by Pakistan's "The Nation" on January 10, the J-10CE fighter jets of the Pakistan Air Force have arrived in Qatar and are preparing to participate in the "Ghizar-II" joint air force exercise jointly held with the Qatar Air Force. According to reports, the Qatar Air Force plans to dispatch equipped EF-2000 "Typhoon" fighter jets during this exercise. Both the J-10CE and the Typhoon use a front-mounted canard + tailless delta wing aerodynamic layout. Pakistan sent the J-10CE to Qatar for exercises, which looks a bit like competing with the Typhoon.

(Who is the canard king? Let's look at J-10CE VS EF-2000 "Typhoon")

The EF-2000 fighter jet, also known as the "Eurofighter 2000" and nicknamed the "Typhoon", is an advanced fourth-and-a-half-generation fighter jet jointly developed by the United Kingdom, Germany, Italy, and Spain. It is also one of the most advanced fighter jets currently developed in Europe. First, this aircraft is called the "European Twin Winds" together with the French "Rafale" fighter jet. The aerodynamic shape of the EF-2000 fighter is very similar to the J-10C, but the aircraft uses a dual-engine single vertical tail design. Its maximum take-off weight is 23.5 tons, which is significantly more than the J-10CE's 19 tons. At the same time, the dual-engine design can give EF- 2000 brings greater thrust, and also makes the aircraft's payload significantly larger than that of the J-10CE fighter jet.

(Strictly speaking, the EF-2000 is considered a "multi-purpose fighter", while the J-10CE is an "air superiority fighter" whose main task is to seize air superiority)

Compared with the EF-2000, although the maximum takeoff weight and size of the J-10CE are smaller, in terms of single-aircraft air combat performance, the J-10CE is fully capable of competing head-on with the EF-2000. Because although China's J-10CE is an export fighter, it is also equipped with an active phased array radar using gallium nitride components . Therefore, although the nose diameter of the J-10CE is smaller than that of the EF-2000 (in fact, it is not much smaller) , but relying on the material advantages of the T/R components, the J-10CE's radar detection range and multi-target tracking capabilities are not inferior to the EF-2000. At the same time, the J-10 fighter jet can also carry domestically advanced PL-12 medium-range air-to-air missiles and PL-15E long-range air-to-air missiles. In terms of beyond visual range air combat (BVR) capabilities, it is not weaker than the EF-2000 fighter jet.

(FC-1 is currently Pakistan's "mainstay" fighter jet)

The Pakistan Air Force is famous for its bravery and prowess in combat. Not only in the Islamic world, but even across the world, the combat effectiveness of the Pakistan Air Force is remarkable. In the second and third Indo-Pak wars, Pakistan relied on its elite troops. The air force's combat power finally "turned against the wind" and defeated the Indian Army. However, due to political and economic constraints for a long time, the equipment of the Pakistan Air Force cannot be called advanced. For example, although the Pakistan Air Force obtained F-16 fighter jets in the 1980s, the number was scarce. From the 1990s to the present, Pakistan still needs to rely on J-16 fighter jets. 7P/PG and Mirage series fighters to maintain force size.

(J-10CE received high praise from the Pakistan Air Force)

Due to its relatively backward equipment, the Pakistan Air Force is also forced to constantly study how to "defeat the strong with the weak." The initial delivery of the FC-1 "Fierce Dragon" fighter jets to the Pakistan Air Force did indeed allow the main fighter jets of the Pakistan Army to catch up with India to a large extent. The arrival of the J-10CE gave Pakistan its first taste of what a "superior air force" is. The overall performance of the J-10CE fighter jet is far better than that of the FC-1, and even better than the F-16. It is currently the most powerful fighter jet in Pakistan. There is no "one".

(The "Anatolian Eagle" exercise in Turkey proved that the "Rafale" fighter jets cannot defeat the J-10CE. Now if the "Typhoon" fails again, India will have no aircraft to buy...)

Generally speaking, the EF-2000 and J-10CE fighter jets can be said to have their own merits. Which one can exert more combat effectiveness often depends on the pilot's personal skills and the support of the entire air situation system. The "China Shock" among the major powers in the Middle East has actually already happened: In October last year, Pakistan took the lead in hosting the "Indus Shield-2023" joint air force exercise with the participation of 14 countries. During the exercise, the Pakistan Air Force's JF-17 (the Pakistani name for the FC-1 "Fierce Dragon") continuously defeated the Turkish F-16 and even defeated the Saudi F-15SA fighter jet! It caused quite a shock at the time.

(At the Dubai Air Show last year, the People's Liberation Army's J-10 fighter jet flew 7,000 kilometers directly to Dubai, fully demonstrating the reliability of the fighter jet)

Now, Pakistan has sent the more advanced J-10CE directly to Qatar to participate in the exercise, which has more fully demonstrated the advanced nature of Chinese weapons in front of the local tycoons in the Middle East. On the one hand, it continues to shock the Middle East countries, and on the other hand, it also actively helps China promote sales. The meaning of fighter. From this point of view, we should really thank "Pakistan Railway". For some things that are inconvenient for us to come forward, Pakistan can come forward on our behalf. After all, Pakistan Railway and the oil tycoons in the Middle East are Muslims, and we are brothers! And if the business is really concluded in the future, then Pakistan will be a major contributor to helping J-10CE "go global"! It is indeed worthy of the title "Batie".

J-10C is a good product. And is a reliable alternative to F-16.

Gone are the days of buying overpriced American "sh it." which also comes with conditions.
West is declining even falling behind all across the board, they just don't know it due to their brainwashing propaganda.

Pakistan’s J-10C Fighter In Aerial Drills with Qatar’s Eurofighter Typhoon

According to the Pakistan Air Force, its J-10C fighter jets would "confront" Eurofighter Typhoon fighter jets, potentially providing insights into the effectiveness of China-made fighter jets when facing Western-made platforms.

— Eurofighter Typhoon belonging to the Qatar Air Force and Pakistani Air Force’s J-10C are engaged in air exercises named “Zilzal-II,” organized by the Gulf country.

This marked the first encounter for fighter jets with canard design.

According to the announcement by the Pakistan Air Force, the Zilzal-II air exercise provided a realistic scenario for aerial warfare, testing the operational readiness of participating air forces.

The exercise represented the first overseas deployment for China-made J-10C fighter jets of the Pakistan Air Force since their induction into the air force of the South Asian country in March last year.

The statement from the Pakistan Air Force did not specify the actual number of J-10C fighter jets deployed to Qatar for the air exercise at an airbase in Doha, Qatar.

The exercise took place at the Doha airbase, not at the Al-Udeid airbase, which is believed to host U.S. fighter jets possibly engaged in airstrikes against Houthi armed groups in Yemen at the moment.

According to the Pakistan Air Force, its J-10C fighter jets would “confront” Eurofighter Typhoon fighter jets, potentially providing insights into the effectiveness of China-made fighter jets when facing Western-made platforms.

Both aircraft are equipped with Active Electronically Scanned Array (AESA) radars and can employ Beyond Visual Range (BVR) air-to-air guided missiles such as the Meteor by MBDA and PL-15.

“The participation of J-10C fighter jets from Pakistan in this air exercise signifies a crucial step for the Pakistan Air Force in becoming a technologically advanced and formidable air force.”

“The acquisition and operation of these fighter jets demonstrate the dedication of the Pakistan Air Force to maintain a technologically advanced force capable of meeting challenges to defend Pakistan’s airspace,” according to the statement.

In the Zilzal-I exercise held in 2020, J-17 fighter jets of the Pakistan Air Force operated alongside Mirage 2000 fighter jets of the Qatar Air Force, as well as F-15 and Rafale aircraft.

The J-17 Thunder fighter jet was jointly developed by Pakistan and China.

In early 2022, as part of its efforts to compete with Rafale aircraft acquired by India, Pakistan announced the purchase of 25 J-10 fighter jets from China.

The single-engine J-10 is developed by the Chengdu Aircraft Corporation.

According to Pakistan’s Interior Minister Sheikh Rasheed Ahmad at the time, the acquisition of 25 J-10 jets from China was the country’s initiative to compete with the 36 twin-engine Rafale jets manufactured by France and acquired by its main adversary.

Pakistan and India are major adversaries, and both military forces have engaged in several conflicts, particularly concerning the Kashmir issue, a region predominantly Islamic but governed by India.

Pakistan acquired the latest variant of the J-10, the “C” version, equipped with advanced features such as Active Electronically Scanned Array (AESA) and Beyond Visual Range (BVR) air-to-air guided missiles like the “PL-15.”

The PL-15 is claimed to have an effective range between 200 km and 300 km, as asserted by China, and is considered a primary competitor to the U.S.-produced AIM-120 “AMRAAM” air-to-air guided missile.

The J-10C is also said to use a locally produced Chinese engine called “WS-10C” instead of the Russian-developed Saturn AL-31F engine to avoid complexity in selling the aircraft to Pakistan. — DSA
