he's a northy bamman who lives down south

I am not from the northeast, but yeah things are a bit different there. They are not cheap mofos like desis. For lack of a better word, they are less Pajeets than us.
I have to agree on this. But Indian people from less urbanized NE regions also tend to be non-inclusionary, i.e. more xenophobic. Especially some semi-educated middle class Assamese folks. If you are Bengali then it will be tough for you in the NE....I am not from the northeast, but yeah things are a bit different there. They are not cheap mofos like desis. Half of Pakistan is Iranic.
Iran is next door.
Saudi is thousands of kilometres away.
You need to see the writing on the wall.
Historically your people have always traded with Irani folk via the land route.
All Arab trade to India was through the sea. And mainly way down south. Kerala.
Gujarat sea route was preferred more by the kalus of Africa. And Persians. Via the great port of Hormuz.
These are all historical trade routes over millennia.
Modern geopolitics se lun fark padna hai.
