Source : https://www.voanews.com/a/pakistan-s-political-climate-shaken-by-pro-khan-tweets-from-trump-s-choice-for-special-missions-envoy-/7910337.html Short Summary: Grenell has held several prominent positions, including U.S. ambassador to Germany, special presidential envoy for Serbia and Kosovo peace negotiations, and acting director of national intelligence during the first Trump administration from 2017 to 2021. His pro-Khan tweets have led to speculation regarding their potential implications for Pakistan's political landscape.

Islamabad —

Richard Grenell, a close confidant of U.S. President-elect Donald Trump, has garnered substantial media and political attention in Pakistan due to his persistent social media posts advocating for the release of the country’s former prime minister, Imran Khan.

The situation escalated on November 26 when the Pakistani government unleashed a violent crackdown in Islamabad to disperse opposition protesters who were demanding Khan’s release. This prompted Grenell to express his support on the social media platform X, tweeting, “Free Imran Khan!”

Although his initial post received limited attention, it was amplified by Khan’s Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, or PTI, party and its supporters on December 15, when Trump appointed Grenell as his special envoy for global missions in the incoming administration.

I know all the educated Pakistani support IK…..no doubt about it cuz the legacy rulers are all shiit pigs.

The problem is IK sahb was surrounded by the same 🐽 and filth and now the Indians too are figuring it out the modi ka ulla too was a fraudulent pig……

This 🐷 politics is this regions bane. Only the CIA really is in charge and we are all sick and tired of 🐖 politics.

@Vsdoc @Sharma Ji @Guru Dutt @Krishna with Flute @PakistanProud @RayKalm @Bagheera0084

We’re tired of being played bhai…..

IK for his life wasn’t allowed to do jack shiit and all he was used for was to introduce erthaghrool ghazi drama.

"All the educated Pakistanis sapport IK" .. bit of a sweeping statement, that. Maybe all the ones you know/in your circle do.

You're the expert on Pk politics here, but from what I figured, man got too big for his boots and forgot who real power there really lies with, and has, since azaadi.. the men in wardi. That's just how its always been, IK forced the dragon out of it's den.

Galat logon se panga le lia.

and that Erthagul thing was hilarious, there was such frenzy around it at the old forum. We ancient civilizations had owr our local Ramayan and Mahabharat way back in the day. These days there's all sortsa cartoons for the wee ones and TV shows, movies, and animated ones on manner of our ancient lore.

As I said before, the hypocrisy of IK's supporters is breathtaking. How is this blatant US interference any different than what IK claimed earlier? Or is it that we are supposed to welcome only that interference that suits our chosen demagogue?

If this is indeed true, what Grenell is reportedly trying to do is just as blatantly wrong as what IK had claimed previously - interference in the internal affairs of Pakistan.

You really should quote that entire story from VOA, but that is perhaps too much to expect.

Oh bhai IK is not a savior no?......everybody knows......same isstory everywhere no?

IK is just a pawn being used by the west to get the Pakistani establishment to do as told.

You guys had the USSR shupa-pawa to fully back yous up when it got tough (1950's till the 1980's), and we had a non existent agri-economy and a half willing US and weak US puppet China to some extent.

Now USSR is long gone and China's shown us its 'gaandd' (basically k aap duffa ho)....cuz yous got no initiative nor the drive.

wtf can IK do in this situation?......sweet fukk-all he can do here.

Tasbeeh bead counting and erthaghrool dramay and king turdo-gan, talibunny loving along with multiple shadian/ mazhabi bukvaas got him very badly discredited.

There is a theory, k IK sb was a Fauz project to begin with. That they much preferred a back in the shadows, behind the scenes role, Niazi fit the bill perfectly.. immensely popular with the awaam, a well spoken decent face to present to the world, he knew intimately (ahem) .. how the west worked.. etc.. but man got too big for his boots.

Back in the ol' cold war days you guys had the jump on us, thanks to Unkill Sam's largess. Unko bhi kaam tha, Soviet Afghan Rambo war waala.. there was peace in Pakistan, and prosperity, western markets full access.. latest F- 86 se le ke F-16 fighter zets, all the good trappings of capitalism.

We were greebs, half sheltered behind the iron curtain and adhering to their economic ways largely.. we were commie hijab wearers at any rate, even if not fully draped in red hammer and sickle niqab and burqas, maintained some semblance sovereignty at the very least.

Nehru laid down a solid foundation for yous no?.....He set yous up for success.

In our case we never had a Nehru no? All we got after Ayub Khan were a bunch of mofo's who didn't give a fukk! except for their bank balance.......

made sense at the time, I suppose. Planned economy this that.. it had it's day in the sun, the communist ideology, no doubt.

Steam engines ka bhi ek zamana tha, right ?

Very unfortunately, such an ecosystem is created in Pakistan where you can do anything in the name of Islam. No matter whosoever comes to power, it won't work. A military general or dictator only can make Pakistan batter. The diverse fundamentalism in Pakistan can only be handled with brutal power. I do not see any hope in Pakistan though I wish Pakistan to be a prosperous country.

Nehru was no commie though. And neither was the Congress.

Although India has had a communist party since the 1930's.
Post azadi, we had 2 options.. had to take one, we went with the red one.

Sure, he wasn't a full blown commie, but was much enamoured by it. Abhi bhi, the guiding principles of the La Dinastia are deeply rooted in left wing socialist thought.

Iron Lady Indira, famously, amended and added "socialist" to our big book of rules.

He laid a solid foundation......remember his slogan;.....

I will give education to all Indians, regardless of their caste!

You take Islam out of the equation and the whole narrative collapses overnight. Its an existential issue for us.

Bhai sawdis get $30k per year free money just sitting around like a warm body. Their population is absolutely no threat to the western installed and run state apparatus.

However, here we are bhai, one payment short on the quarterly IMF/WB installment and the wheels come off the rickety carriage. Throw in 200 million bhookay nungay surviving on daal roti chutney only and it would be a disaster.

If we collapse, god forbid……it will become a massive headache for India. Xenophobc Iran do minatt main border seal kar day ga and afghani will do the same.

Pakistan is the most dangerous collapse imaginable... those aatmi ones, breh ! aiaiyaaa!!!

I read somewhere ki US super duper secret special forces are ready to storm and takeover things if things get weird.

Those 1st-SFOD and DEVGRU lot actually train with these sorts of scenarios in mind.

mind it

In our case we never had a Nehru no? All we got after Ayub Khan were a bunch of mofo's who didn't give a fukk! except for their bank balance.......

This is correct. Ayub Khan did have a modernized vision for Pakistan (personally I am an admirer). However on the foreign policy side, his blunders did not spell well - leading to involvement of Bhutto and Yahya Khan in power (and we all know where that led). But Ayub Khan's economic policies were highly visible in many projects even in East Pakistan. He was no less a reformer than Nehru.

"One of the major milestones of Ayub Khan’s presidency was the promulgation of the Constitution of Pakistan in 1962. The new constitution, while respecting Islam, did not declare it as the state religion and provided for the election of the president by a select group of Basic Democracy under Ayub’s control. Additionally, Ayub Khan introduced the Muslim Family Law Ordinance in 1961, which aimed to reform marriage and divorce laws, reflecting his vision of modernization and progress.

Economically, Ayub Khan’s era is remembered for successful industrialization and rural development, with a strong emphasis on capitalism and foreign direct investment. The “Decade of Development” under his rule saw the establishment of various mega projects and hydroelectric dams, contributing to significant GDP growth. However, despite the economic progress, his policies led to a concentration of wealth in the hands of a few influential families, raising concerns about income inequality."

This was the case with Nehru's license Raj as well, his friends (people like Jumnalal Bajaj, Raghunandan Saran of Ashok Motors and business families like the Hindujas) all benefitted from friendships with Nehru.

These are a few of Ayub Khan Saab's projects in East Pakistan that comes to mind. Which were five/six decades ahead of their time.

1. Dhaka Int'l Airport (currently known as Hazrat Shahjalal Int'l Airport) was started in 1966, the new 3rd terminal in the forefront was added recently. "Aeroports de France" was the main contractor in 1966 but this continued after 1971 by the Bangladesh govt.

2.National Parliament House, Dhaka, Bangladesh designed by renowned architect Louis Kahn: One of the Largest Legislative Complexes globally. Project started in 1961.

3. Kaptai Dam and hydroelectric project (construction started in 1957 and completed in 1962)
1735147762182.png

4. Khulna Shipyard was founded in 1957 as a German-designed shipyard where most of Bangladesh' advanced semi-stealth LPCs are made and fitted for sensors now (Frigate construction are planned at some point). The shipyard has the capacity to build steel / aluminum ships up to 90 m length and 5000 DWT. It is the primary contractor for all govt. specialized vessels such as Submarine and Buoy tenders, ASW patrol craft, High Bollard power Fleet coastal tugs, Hydrographic survey vessels, Inshore and Offshore patrol vessels, dredgers and self-propelled floating cranes of various capacities. It is one of the three largest shipbuilding yards in Bangladesh.

So - Ayub Khan as a visionary did his level best for Pakistan and Pakistanyat. I hope Imran Khan hopefully does the same.

He was the last good guy we had.

He was the last good guy we had.

A true patriot, he tried to keep the country together - and was active against all the traitors and corrupt people, some of them Bengalis too. He was heartbroken when Bhutto crossed him. Allah unko Jannat naseeb karey.

Whenever he visited Dacca, his sensitivity for our culture was paramount. It was at his direction, after 1954, that Bengali was introduced on banknotes, on the side of airplanes and at most govt. buildings, yes some even in West Pakistan.

Indian Bengalis have no such parallel in New Delhi - no respect for Bengali there, or any other regional Indian language. Hindi supremacists everywhere in Delhi NCR.

I am glad Imran Khan seems to show much more sensitivity toward regional ethnicities, this (IMHO) is the only way to preserve unity in Pakistan.

It all fell apart after him......he was the last one holding it all together with a vision like Nehru had for his country......

After him, all we got was basturds!

No, you will open them for your own peepal!

Irani Afghani are totally alien to this. They're very hardcore xeno's! Historical intolerance for Indian muslims. Don't you know?

Faltoo ki religiosity has increased. Hindus are 'celebrating' all festivals like they have a giant checklist in one hand. No one has any deep understanding of religion, or even the stories surrounding festivals. Buss BC har cheez ek cultural event hai Apartment Associations ke liye. Yeh beemari Hindus mei zyada hai. Are Christians or Muslims celebrating any Hindu festivals? Only Hindus are galavanting around being Santas, Halloween clowns and doing food trips in Ramzan months.

I am not against this intermingling. It was fine till it was genuine. Muslims would cook biryani for close friends without asking. Now it is demanded ("Bhai biryani toh banti hai"). The poor bloke will make his wife work all day to get Biryani for 30 people in office. Many of the clowns jumping around in Xmas celebration in my building are right wing Hindus. Everything has been reduced to just a social event.

Sirji... jarra aye wee dass do ki kerra siyasi hlkka twadda GATE No. 4 di paidaish nahi hai .... Z A Bhutto used to call Ayub Khan Daddy who wrote a book about USA called "friends not masters"

How Nawaz Shrief came up Under Zia Ul Haq and later what kind of treatementNawaz Shrieh and Benzir Bhutto he got Genral Aslam Beg to from Asif Nawaz Janjua to Genral A W Kakkar and how people distributed sweets when Musharraff came to power and same people wanted Musharraf to get out

how same establishment started prepping up IK against Nawaz shrief and for more than 8 years fed everyone on how corrupt PTI & PMLN is but everyone forgot what Bushra Bibi and her FARAH GOGI & Malik Riayz types did during IK as PM

its just that be it ZABhutto , Nawaz Shrief or Benezir or Zardari or now Imran Khan all came on crutches of Pakistan army and it suits them that ISI & PA helps them against other opposition but they get or want to be free when they have to face the same music ;) :P
