Grow your own cows.

Have some shame man.

Kab tak bade bhai se bheek maangoge?

Who told you we don't grow our own cows? Another uninformed brain dropping from you as usual, which is devoid of information or logic.

Animal (Cattle) husbandry practices in Bangladesh are a bit more modern and organized in Bangladesh compared to India. We have faster growing demand for beef than most countries, and we meet it handily.

India is the largest slaughterer of cows in its export oriented abattoirs, exporting about four plus Billion dollars worth of cow meat globally every year. Where is BJP crying about that statistics? Oh I get it - its not Muslims who are eating this beef. Just hypocritical, that is all.

Bhartiya Cow protection vigilantes and BSF have put a near stop to cow smuggling from India to Bangladesh since 2015 though. I guess only Bangladeshi non-dharmic people must be stopped from eating Go Mata.

The Cattle farms in Bangladesh responded by importing better breed of cows to grow locally (Brahma and Jersey varieties mainly which are huge). There are tons of cattle farms all over Bangladesh and they are supplying the local market.

Of course it is futile to school you in business logic, which says if there is demand on our side, someone in Bangladesh or India will try to smuggle cows, despite vigilantism in India. Even poor people in Bangladesh used to need low quality Indian cows for Qurbani which was met via smuggling, India's fault mainly to not control BSF who allowed this to happen. There is smuggling from our side on narcotics (mainly Burma-sourced) and also gold biscuits (sourced from the Middle East), going to India because there is demand there. If there is demand, someone will try to make money from it. BSF are the number one corrupt organization in all of India.

For a few years now, there has been a national cattle fair in the style of cattle fairs in the US. Prize bulls win awards and recognitions before being sold for Qurbani.

Our cows look a little better than the emaciated cows from India

Qurbani is an organized online affair now, Halal meat being delivered directly from abattoirs to consumers via refrigerated vans.

Land of contradictions hai. It's on the rare occasion when I indulge in a bit, here only but, I won't go around asking or looking for it in most of the country.. People feel strongly about it, why upset them ?

I'd do the same with pork or daaru in a Muslim area or restaurant. North east, Goa and Kerala (and TN to an extent) are exceptions to the rule but generally you can find beef/buff in most major cities.

Paitoo, Doc and these guys know the score.

Everytime I visit Kolkata to have proper Awadhi Beef Biryani in my favorite joints - the amount of Young X-Gen Hindu people around me are around 90%. It is almost a ritual for these Hindu Kolkatans on the weekends. They finish the grub and then they go out of the restaurant to wash it all down with some local daroo/hooch in the bar next door.

What you left out from here is that you were literally forced to do all of this overnight by India in 2015 when we cracked down on cattle smuggling into your country.

India till then supplied all of your milk and beef. Even today , it is close to 20 to 30% via cross border smuggling.

In spite of all of this beef prices continue to rise in Bangladesh, making it the costliest in south and south east Asia.

Beef (the Qurbani you speak of) is a racket in Bangladesh, with Bangladeshis profiteering from poor Bangladeshis. The vast majority.

Of course, we don't care.

You are as usual clueless. :D

Visit Bangladesh someday and get the real scoop.

20-30% of Beef and Milk comes from India?

Now I've heard everything.

Indians "love" to think that Bangladesh is dependent on them for this, that or the other.

Nothing could be farther from the truth. If you don't want to sell - well there's the door.

We will just find other sources.

Billoo's favourite mode of debate.

Trust me bro.

And sprinkle a few smilies to try and appear intellectually flippant.
