Ive seen more ugliness these past 10 years against Parsis than in the combined previous 40.

So my reptilian brain puts 2 + 2 together and ask myself whats changed in India in the past 10 years.

Surely not Parsis.

I can only but faintly recall one incident maybe, that too not a huge nasty one.

Bombay, was it? .. something about shifting of ancestral holy or maybe burial ground... was in the way of an infra project... ?

...metro or bridge or something ?? and there were protests around it, some were framing it as a bit of an assault on a minority group.

Uske alawa I don't think I've seen any news of any sort of anti Parsi anything.

Im talking about at the ground level.

Not so high up.

Property and land poaching.

Business unethical practices.

Police and administrative.

Municipal and Cantonment.

Education. Institutional.

Corporate. Professional.

Clubs. Social.

Social media, including but definitely not limited to forums (X, WhatsApp, Facebook, Instagram, even fkn LinkedIn for crying out loud).
 
I see many many similarities between the current South African crisis and where we are in India today.

Might sound absurd to yiu guys, but then Ive always thought different and at a conceptual civilizational plane without muddying my brain with technical nitty gritties.

I'm a firm believer that in the heat of battle a person's true self comes out.

Add the anonymity of the internet.

"We love Parsis" a lot of people pay lip service to.

Especially Hindus.

Muslims that way are much more open and clear in their hostility towards Zoroastrians.

No collectivist here, only speak for myself.

as above so below wala hisab, I neither give, nor deduct points from anyone based just on their mazhab, background etc... or even political leanings.

case by case basis dekhne ka !

With Hindus its not mazhab.

With muslims neither.

Its purely social.

And a direct throwback to British times.

True, though I'd disagree with the notion that fancy education, job, rich type binnus folk can give grantee of class if one were to try make that case.

That's a very weak leaky porus filter.

I like chatting cabbies up when to and fro airport type.. un se good real on the ground type intel you get wherever you at.

It is what it is, sir, this mulk we call home. Look around, at least woh waali halat toh nahi hai :P
