Most Royal Enfield motorbikes cannot really be called "cruisers" like a purebred Harley (with high handlebars and a lowslung relaxed seat for comfort in long rides), I see them more as "Cafe Racer" body style bikes.

The Royal Enfield model whose tooling was transferred to the Chennai factory after WWII ended was a cafe racer body style.

However - I'd love to be proven wrong.

I don't know how receptive the Japanese market is to Cafe Racers - maybe more so for cruisers - especially Harleys (which is more of an image thing).

Yaar bilal here in Japan it rains every week. This Japan is no bike place bhai. Yes fantastic hwys/ infra here just it ain’t no California here you know.

It rains in So. Cal. too - despite the Neil Diamond song to the contrary.

Especially in the wintertime.

Just not as often as in Japan.

Global warming has affected weather everywhere.

This is the relatively new Meteor 650

This, along with it's smaller predecessor, the Meteor 350, are as close as RE have come to making a cruiser, relaxed riding position, Good bikes, even if not monster displacement ones like you'll see from Indian or Harley Davidson etc.

The continental gt 650 is their classic cafe racer style, footpegs set back in a racing position:
