We grow some of the finest apples here in Himachal, Kashmir etc.. still to figure out why we import these.. fruit sellers are full of california apples and grapes, Chinese tangerine, South African pear, New Zealand ke angoor and god knows what else.. a lot of imported stuff, I don't get why.

The moment I read Himachal I thought my earlier guess was right after all. That you are from HP. But when I read further I realised you were just commenting on apple production in India.
