Mamdani was born in Kampala (Uganda) and came to the US when he was seven. Got naturalized in 2016 I believe. So he can't run for President. But he can be a big name for the Democrats eventually. Like AOC. He has solid support from the South Asian NYC communities - like the Sikhs, Bengalis and Pakistanis. As well as progressive educated Indians, majority born in the US.

He is worth about $200,000. Doesn't own a car. Still takes the subway to his campaign debates.
