Yes - many times, almost every year. I have many sane intellectual Indian friends too, especially in Kolkata. Bengalis are way more educated, intellectual and sane than other sundry types of toxic-mentality cow-belt people found in Northern India.

I really can't escape being dragged to India, by female members of my family and their friends who are addicted to low-priced Indian designers for ethnic wear (Sabyasachi, Ritu Kumar et al).

I try to preserve the sanctity of my wallet as much as possible...

Yes - many times, almost every year. I have many sane intellectual Indian friends too, especially in Kolkata. Bengalis are way more educated, intellectual and sane than other sundry types of toxic-mentality cow-belt people found in Northern India.

I agree with @Bilal9 . Whether you like India or hate India, you can't ignore it. In India, there are multiple channels of everything. You can get so many very good things as good as costliest brand at a very low price.

The test of whether people are sane or not lies in what they achieved through their hard work in terms of Peace, prosperity , law and order, spiritual enlightenment, coherence , education progress etc.

Look at what West Bengal achieved. All industries are finished, union activism is rampant, stupid government, violence in Election, lazy people etc. I have one very dear Bengali friend but I don't see Bengalis as a community in high spirit. Over addited of wine, Dominant powerful ladies with extra marital affair very common, lazy people, non vegetarian mainly. Very different from we Gujarati people. I dislike Keralians. They eat cow beef. Subsequent to Keralians, I dislike Bengalis. I love Rajasthani people. Very straight forward, hard working and honest. I like people of Madhya Pradesh as well. I may sound like a bit fanatic like @Vsdoc says some time, but I have a firm conviction that spirituality and culture rooted in Sanatan principles is the only solution to real happiness, prosperity and happy society in long term.

But I don't think a majority of them are worried about you hating or loving them, they are fine with their values and how they live in West Bengal.

The reason for me repeatedly bringing this up - is because, people will come to this thread expecting to find news on a fallen Indian Army person, and find our Hasina conversation.

Like most Bangladeshis - Hasina is not worth even talking about in Bangladesh anymore and I don't know why we are talking about her here. No more about Hasina please.

She only deserves being relegated to the dustbin of history. Khalas, Finito, Zip, Nada, Zilch. Worthless entity.
